It’s September first, 1989, and Veronica Sawyer is embarking on her senior year at Westerberg High School. Using all of her wiles, Veronica is able to join the Heathers, the clique of popular girls who rule the school. Once at the top, Veronica realises that popularity isn’t all it was cracked up to be and she joins forces with the mysterious new transfer student, Jason “J.D.” Dean, to try to make things right.
Based on the 1989 film of the same name, Heathers is a brilliant dark comedy that is equally full of hilarity, heart, and murder. With music, lyrics, and book written by award-winning creative team Kevin Murphy and Laurence O’Keefe, this show is laugh, cry, and sing along with the unforgettable rock score.
By arrangement with Origin Theatrical.
Please Note: This show touches on some mature themes. This includes, but is not limited to, references to suicide, eating disorders, violence, death, sexual harassment, sex scenes, and gun shots. It is recommended for audiences fourteen and up.
