Whakatauki: Kaore he korero whakatiihake i te whenua, me korero ki te whenua Dont talk about the land, talk to the land! Celebrating the spring of memories in relationship to WAHI TAPU and the sacred waters of WAIHEKE.
This theatrical dance showcase is a celebration of the whenua and moana over time. Using dance, shadow play, theatre, live music and waiata, this original performance speaks to the significance of sacred sites on Waiheke Island. The mixed media performance has been co-created with local filmmaker Paora Te Oti Takarangi, alongside theatre maker Kashmir Postel, musician Matiu Te Huki and experienced dancers Kayla Hamilton, Amba-Liara Edwardes and Te Kōmako Forde.
Part of Artworks Theatre's Motu Matariki Festival funded by Foundation North.
