Celebrated choreographer and director Malia Johnston brings together seven incredible independent dance artists from across Aotearoa and Australia for the immersive experience Tōrua.
From recent seasons at CubaDupa and HOTA Queensland (AU) and Nelson Arts Festival follow inspirational dance luminaries Kia Jewell, Sefa Tunupono, Jemima Smith, Ella Williams, Cameron Holland, Xin Ji, Andre Busby and Levi Siaosi around the lakefront, and through the alleyways and streets of Wānaka where they will present their movement responses to the townships terrain.
This is a roving performance piece, good walking shoes required!
Music composition by Eden Mulholland and Anna Edgington.
