Our annual short short-plays season, with its variety of offerings in one performance, has attracted quite a following, so book early to be sure of a seat.
In Expectations you'll find a medley of theatrical delights: humour, drama, emotion and a little bit of thought-provocation.
And what a range of settings: New York fashionable society, London aristocracy, the oppressed class of anywhere, contemporary New Zealand, and a room filled with boxes.
Why Expectations? Well, though no two situations are the same, all the key characters are negotiating the expectations of others whilst at the same time trying to achieve their own.
This eclectic collection consists of:
A Marriage Has Been Arranged by Alfred Sutro (UK)
Boxes by Peter Wilson, Tim Denton and Annie Forbes (NZ)
Call of the Revolution by Leonid Andreyev, adapted for stage by Walter Wykes (USSR & USA)
Fourteen by Alice Gerstenberg (USA)
Poverty by Angie Farrow (NZ)
Book now for this very enjoyable 5-plays production.
