Love Party + Bandwidth Riot — Live on the Stage
Wellington’s Love Party is a punk band that only sings love songs. Led by Kate Yesberg (vocals/bass) and Dayle Jellyman (vocals/guitar), their fuzzy power-pop conjures up the atmosphere of a children’s birthday party for adults, with a healthy irreverence towards the status quo. Energetic, mischievous and down-to-earth, they combine tasty guitar figures and cheeky duo vocals with driving drums and bass lines that get the dance floor moving. Recorded at The Surgery with Cory Champion on drums, their debut album WOW! is a timestamped document of everything they’ve learned about love so far—from the romantic to the ridiculous to the universal.
Opening the night is Bandwidth Riot, a rising force from Northland’s youth music scene. These four Kerikeri teens have already made waves nationwide with their high-octane blend of hard rock, indie, and punk. Fresh off a Far North Rockquest win and multiple Play It Strange accolades, they bring tight original tunes, stage confidence, and the raw energy of a band hungry to prove themselves. Expect hooks, heart, and a glimpse at the future of Aotearoa rock.
