Kumeu, Auckland – October 17, 2025 - Mark your calendars! The highly anticipated Monster Fireworks Display is back, ready to light up the Kumeu Showgrounds on Friday, October 17th, 2025. This annual event, presented by Taupaki School and powered by Bad Boy Fireworks, promises an evening filled with unforgettable sights and sounds.

Experience more than just a fireworks display; join us for a community celebration brimming with laughter, happiness, and spectacular pyrotechnics. Gather your friends and family for a night that promises to dazzle and delight. Here's what you need to know:

Event Details:

• Date: Friday, October 17, 2025 (Rain Date: Saturday, October 18)
• Location: Kumeu Showgrounds
• Gates Open: 4:30 PM
• Gates Close: 8:15 PM
• Entertainment Starts: 5:00 PM
• Fireworks Display: Approx. 8:30 PM
• Event Closes: 9:30 PM

From 4:30 PM onwards, attendees can enjoy a wonderful selection of rides, stalls, and food trucks while picnicking on the banks of the showgrounds. A DJ will create a vibrant atmosphere as you await for the evening's main event; the breathtaking fireworks display will commence after nightfall, around 8:30 PM.

All ticket holders are required to have their tickets printed or ready to scan on their devices at the event gates. Please note that ticket prices do not include event parking. We encourage ride sharing or walking to the venue. However, car parking will be available on-site for an additional $5 fee. Please note the $5 parking is not included in the ticket price (pay on entry to grounds).

• Raffle Tickets $2                 

Raffle Tickets close Wednesday 3pm before the event. Please support Taupaki School by purchasing Raffle Tickets. Your tickets will be automatically added to our raffle drawn on the night of the event. All prize winners will be contacted via email or phone.

Terms and Conditions:

• This event is a family-friendly environment.
• Attendees must adhere to the required behaviour standards.
• Non-compliance may result in immediate removal from the event without refund.
• The venue reserves the right to issue trespass notices to individuals.
• Attendees are responsible for any damage to their cars parked within the showgrounds or outside the venue.
• The event organizers hold no responsibility for ancillary costs such as travel and accommodation if the event is fully or partially cancelled due to adverse weather conditions.

Ticket Cancellation Policy:

In the event of cancellation before 9am on the day of the event:

• Full refunds (excluding ticketing and transaction fees) will be provided. 
• Attendees can choose to donate the ticket value to Taupaki School if the event is cancelled. 
• The event will only be cancelled under rare circumstances of extremely high winds, above 30km at the display site, or extreme weather conditions where excess ground water prevents the fireworks display. The event will proceed if there is rain during the day before 4:30pm, and if light to moderate rain is forecasted for the duration of the event. Cancellations are made solely for the safety of the fireworks display.

​Decisions will be reached by 9am on the event day.
There is a weather postponement date of Saturday 18 October 2025.

In the unlikely event of unplanned severe weather after the event starts at 4:30pm:

• Although highly unlikely, the live Fireworks Display cancellation may occur if weather conditions change  unpredictably, specifically extreme weather events occurring after 5pm and before 8pm. Such a cancellation would only occur if there was a health and safety risk for continuing the fireworks display. 
• The organisers reserve the right to cancel the live fireworks display after the event has started due to safety concerns. In this case, pre-purchased ticket holders will receive a partial refund at the discretion of the event promoters, within 7-10 business days after the event (excluding ticketing and transaction fees). Partial refunds do not apply to any cash gate sales.
