The Port Chalmers Seafood Festival is a vibrant celebration of local flavour, community spirit, and coastal culture. Held on the unique working wharf at Port Otago, this family-friendly event offers an unforgettable day out for seafood lovers and festival-goers alike.
Sample the best in fresh kai moana – oysters, clams, sole, and more – cooked up by local chefs, food trucks, and community groups. Enjoy live Dunedin music including Bullet Proof Convertible, kids’ entertainment featuring Suzy Cato, and cooking demos from culinary stars like Nadia Lim.
Choose to add on a train ride on the Emerson's Express or make the most of free parking at the Forsyth Barr Stadium with buses leaving from the car park taking you to and from the festival all day.

Perfect for food lovers who want to relax and experience the festival in style.
Getting there and back to Port Chalmers is made simple with FREE buses for ticket holders, leaving from the big car park at Forsyth Barr Stadium and the Festival regularly - no bus ticket is required.
Or, take in some history with an additional option to travel along the harbourside with Dunedin Railways on the Emerson's Express (numbers are strictly limited with first in first served for seats, otherwise space is available to stand).*
