Celebrate the genius of Ludwig van Beethoven in a powerful concert featuring two of his most compelling works. Acclaimed organist Jeremy Woodside leads the Mass in C major (Op. 86), an early sacred masterpiece that blends classical structure with emotional depth and vocal complexity. Highlights include the radiant Gloria and the dramatic Credo, showcasing Beethoven’s gift for balancing intimacy with grandeur.
The programme also features our very own young choral scholar, David Jiang, on piano performing the passionate and stormy Pathétique Sonata, offering a striking contrast to the choral work. Together, these pieces illuminate the bold range and enduring brilliance of Beethoven’s musical legacy.
